BNP Paribas securities services have recruited Beata Szonyi as head of securities services in Hungary.

Szonyi will report to Gerald Noltsch, BNP Paribas regional manager for Germany, North Europe, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Previously, Szonyi worked for Unicredit Global Securities Services as a global relationship manager for the bank's flagship US and UK clients’ activities in CEE and CIS.

Commenting on the appointment, Noltsch, said: “We’re delighted that Szonyi has opted to join BNP Paribas Securities Services. Her primary responsibility will be to stimulate further client growth in Hungary. With her strong understanding of the local servicing requirements of top tier US and UK banks and institutional investors, and the fact that she is well respected in the industry, she is ideally placed to grow our business."

“We have made great strides in developing our business in Hungary in recent years and Szonyi's appointment highlights our commitment towards continuing to grow our business in the region.”
